Classes are held in our beautiful upstairs studio at Healthy Heart. It's best to wear comfortable fitted clothing. We supply mats but you may bring your own if you wish. We ask that you arrive a few minutes early so that you may transition into quiet more gradually.

 

Don't be shy. We love new students and can accommodate all levels of skill, and our instructors are skilled at using props and blocks and other techniques to accommodate each person. Our bodies and minds are different each day, each moment. Each person can practice at the level that is most comfortable, going to a point where the body is signaling a boundary. By gently moving into and exploring this boundary with each repetition, while using the breath to support the movements, we find that we can go further. Over time and practice, we gain flexibility and strength without force, and our energy flows more strongly throughout our entire system, improving our overall health and helping us to age gracefully. 
 

Come in and try it out. Your first class is free so that you can see if its right for you!

        We are now offering a wonderful NEW yoga experience for small groups called YOGA REPOSE  

Yoga Repose is a special opportunity to sink deeply into an experience of yoga, to gently withdraw from an outward busy-ness, and go inward to renew your mind, body and spirit.

 

A specially prepared space of calm awaits you, where you will sit and sip tea while you learn a little about the art and science of yoga This brief, quiet conversation is the first step of allowing your senses to withdraw from the activities of your busy day, followed by a gently guided yoga practice geared to your group. The long shavasana and a guided deep relaxation at the end of the session allows you to move into a space that is uncommonly touched - that of deep rest and repose. You and your guests will leave feeling relaxed and renewed.

 

Yoga Repose lasts approximately two hours, and is a wonderful shared experience for wedding parties, women's or men's groups and family gatherings. The minimum age is 12 years. Minimum group size is 3, maximum group size is 8.
